THE WYOMISSING FOUNDATION RESPONDS TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

Office Reopening 

The Wyomissing Foundation has modified its office operations due to the continuing Coronavirus pandemic, but recognizing Berks County’s move into the “green” phase under Governor Wolf’s order. In accordance with current health and safety guidelines, the office will physically be open and staffed on a limited basis – Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We will continue holding group meetings via Zoom, although one-on-one in-person meetings with staff may be arranged if necessary. All staff and visitors to the building will be required to wear masks, hand sanitizer will be readily available, and other appropriate risk-reduction measures will be utilized. Most staff will continue to primarily work remotely but can always be reached via email or cell phones listed below.

New Pandemic Grant Opportunity Announced
The Wyomissing Foundation is pleased to announce a new grant program in response to the longer term challenges nonprofit organizations may be facing as a result of the pandemic – the Pandemic Recovery and Sustainability Grant Program (click here for detailed information). In addition, TWF will continue to monitor changing community needs as a result of the pandemic as it considers its general grant making, following the guidelines and timeline as posted elsewhere on the website.  

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement
The Wyomissing Foundation Board recently approved a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement in response to issues of systemic racism most recently brought to light by the impact of the pandemic and recent cases of police brutality around the nation.
